About

Hello There!

I'm Crystal Frost and you have stumbled upon my little space on the internet where I can dump anything I feel like. Haha! I use to have a blog, but then stopped and recently have felt the pull to start again. I have things I want to say and post about.

Here is a random list of things about me:

  • I'm married to the best guy in the world for Time and All Eternity!
  • We have three wonderful children here with us on earth, two in heaven above that I can not wait to be with after this life.
  • I am a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
  • I am a Licensed Beautician.
  • I am an aspiring author with many books written, but none published YET. I'm not giving up hope and I am currently in search of an Agent. I write primarily fantasy. Epic Fantasy is my wheel house, but my current works are fairy tale retellings. I have Beauty and the Beast, Red Riding Hood, and Cindererella all in the works with many others in the planning stages.
  • I am a major nerd and have only recently been comfortable with that fact. It's part of who I am and I'm telling the world! Star Wars is better then Star Trek. This is an ongoing battle between the Hubs and I. I really enjoy Star Trek - both new and old. Which is why I feel I can say, Star Wars is better. I like them both, but Jedi's, the force, and light sabers will always win. Even if I know I would never be a Jedi. Ha! I'd probably be a smuggler.
  • I'm a gamer. Another thing that I wasn't comfortable telling the world until recently. My favorite game is Skyrim! I could get lost in that world for hours upon hours. Other favorites are anything and everything Zelda. Minecraft. 7 Days to Die. Guantlet. The list goes on, but those are the ones that I am currently playing when I find a minute in my crazy busy life.
  • I'm a Disney Enthusiast! Quote a disney movie and I'm more then likely going to be able to tell you what movie it's from, who said it, and even describe the scene for you. This has only increased since having kids. And I could live at Disneyland. Magic is real and it exsists there... and Hogwarts... which brings us tooooo
  • Harry Potter EVERYTHING! I grew up reading the books as they were being published. The seventh book came out right before my seventeenth birthday. My mom didn't have much money and that, plus a box of Cheez-Its, was my present. It was the best present in the world!
  • My dream job is an Equestrian Veterinarian. Before I met the Hubs I was going to attend UC Davis in California and spend the next many years studying in that field. Then everything changed. It is still my dream, but it's on a back burner until the kids are grown.
  • I trained horses while I was in high school and pride myself on taking a rather stubborn headed mare from trying to get me off her back (bucking, tossing her head, trying to bite my toes, holding her breath while I put her saddle on, attempting to ram my legs into the fence while riding, etc) and being skiddish with a lot of things to calmly walking around the ring with a toddler on her back. No, I did not 'break her'. That term bothers me. It implies breaking the spirit of the horse in order to get the animal to listen. I don't believe that is the way to do things. I believe in developing a beautiful relationship built on trust with the horse. It may be slower, but more effective and that mare was my favorite on the ranch I worked on.

More to come...
